Breast mammotome biopsy

Breast biopsies and breast mass excisions were done as open surgical operations. No need to do that anymore! We can now do these outpatient procedures in around 10 minutes at the specially equipped modern Breast Center. The patient can go home thereafter. The wounds in the skin are often so small that there is no need to suture them anymore, and they are almost invisible a few weeks later.

Cathepsin S, an enzyme that promotes the cancer cells’ ability to metastasise, may play a key role in the spread of breast cancer to the brain. As such, Cathepsin S could also be an important target for new drugs.
